The leader and visionary of Altman Insurance Services, Billy brings more than 24 years of experience in the benefits industry. He founded Altman Insurance Services in 1988. His leadership and innovation in the industry has made Altman Insurance Services one of the top agencies in the state. He serves on the Broker Councils for Humana, Anthem and United Healthcare, which enables Altman Insurance Services to be an advocate for their clients at the highest level of management with the companies they represent. Billy understands the important role of a broker and provides valuable solutions to communicating health care options to his clients. His sound advice has helped a great number of employers with their benefit programs. He is very involved in the community and serves on the Board of Jewish Hospital Healthcare Services and the Jewish Hospital Foundation.
Billy holds a degree from Vanderbilt University with a double major in Economics and Business Administration. He is married and has two sons. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. |

Mike Summerfield - msummerfield@altmanins.com
Mike joined Altman Insurance Services in 2004 as a partner after spending 10 years with Humana. During his tenure, Mike worked in three different markets (Colorado, Tennessee and Kentucky) leading the sales and account management teams. He spent his last five years with Humana as Vice President of Sales for the Kentucky/Southern Indiana market insuring 400,000 members. Mike brings very detailed knowledge about a carrier's rating, underwriting and internal practices which enables him to provide the best employee benefits program to his clients. Mike serves on various Boards in the city and is very active in his church. He has also been a featured speaker on health insurance topics for several organization's conventions.
Mike is married with 2 daughters. He enjoys spending weekends with his family at Lake Cumberland. |

In 1993, Heather began her career in the employee benefit industry with Altman Insurance Services upon graduation from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications. As an account manager, Heather handles both new and renewal group processing as well as claims, billing and enrollment issues. Enthusiasm, dedication to service and vast industry experience allow Heather to provide the best in client service. Heather has developed special insight about her client’s challenges and expectations and is able to effectively and efficiently meet their needs.
Heather is married and has two sons. She enjoys playing and watching soccer and spending time with her family. |

She has an outstanding reputation for delivering superior service to her clients and is eager to help with all your insurance needs.
